Barbados–born beauty Rihanna has accepted an offer from Cheryl Cole to collaborate with the Geordie singer on her third album, according to reports.
Cole has been working on her new LP, the follow up to 2010’s ‘Messy Little Raindrops’, since summer last year, and has already been spotted working with Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am, hip-hop producer Alex Da Kid and pop singer Taio Cruz. Now it appears as though Cole will be working with ‘Umbrella’ singer Rihanna – who was recently named the biggest selling digital artist of all time.
A source told The Mirror: “It's a big year for Cheryl. She can't wait for her little soldiers to hear the music she's been passionately working on over the past 12 months. She has struck up a friendship with Rihanna. Rihanna thinks the world of Cheryl and will work on a party remix with her when they meet up on her next visit.”
The source continued on to say: “Her album fuses pop, hip-hop, soul and dance. It already has some party anthems on it but Rihanna's would get everyone up on their feet.”
The single will reportedly hit shelves in March, with the album set to drop sometime after that.
