The Cribs Reveal More Album Details

Yorkshire-based indie rockers The Cribs have revealed some of the details of their forthcoming fifth studio album, their first record as three-piece since 2007’s ‘Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever’.

The new record, which is the follow up to 2009’s ‘Ignore the Ignorant’, is currently running under the name ‘In the Belly of a Brazen Bull’, and is set to hit shelves later this year. The band have worked with Flaming Lips and MGMT producer Dave Fridmann as well as Steve Albini, who’s worked with Jarvis Cocker and Nirvana.

The band have been penning and recording tracks for the new record since former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr decided to leave the band, a move which vocalist and guitarist Ryan Jarrman thinks was the best for the band.

“Working with Johnny was something I really enjoyed,” Jarmann told NME. “But what it's made me realise is that this is the way it's meant to be. I liked the last record and it was a progression, but there was something lost in translation. It was something indefinable – but it's back.”

The band will be showcasing their new material when they tour the UK this February and March. If you’re a fan, don’t miss out – check the dates and details below and grab yourself a pair of tickets.
