Sunday, 22 January 2012 Written by Rob Sleigh

Texan actor Matthew McConaughey has revived his character from the film ‘Dazed and Confused’ for the official video to a new song by Butch Walker and The Black Widows. The star of films such as ‘The Wedding Planner’ and ‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days’ played the character David Wooderson in the 1993 feature that helped to launch his career. Watch the video to ‘Synthesizers’ below.

‘Synthesizers’ is taken from the second album from Butch Walker and The Black Widows, which is called ‘The Spade’. The album was released last year and is the follow-up to the band’s 2010 debut ‘I Liked It Better When You Had No Heart’. Speaking about the new single, Walker said: “The song lyrics really relate to just about anyone who has a hard time moving on with the changes that life throws at you.”

‘The Spade’ is the sixth album from Walker, who was previously a member of the bands SouthGang and Marvelous 3. He is also an established producer and songwriter, and has worked with the likes of Katy Perry, Pink, Avril Lavigne and Bowling For Soup.
