New York-born singer Lana Del Rey got herself into a spot of trouble on the radio yesterday morning, after she was heard saying ‘fucking hell’ during an interview with BBC 6Muisc.
The 25 year-old was being interviewed by Funny Loving Criminal Huey Morgan for the radio station when she accidentally dropped the F-bomb live on air. After apologising, she went on to play her chart-hit ‘Video Games’ - as well as ‘Born to Die’ - with the host saying that Del Rey smashed the performances. The session is available to stream on the embedded widget below, but her accidental swear has since been removed.
Del Rey was asked by her interviewer Morgan if the ‘hype’ surrounding her at the moment, especially after her widely-criticised performance on Saturday Night Live, was ‘bugging her’, to which she replied: “Not really, I mean, only because it's been so long that I've been singing now – it does feel different 'cos the circumstances are different but the music is the same still, thank god.”
Lana Del Rey released her new single ‘Born to Die’ last Sunday (22nd January), as well as releasing a remix E.P, including mixes from Damon Albarn, Woodkid and Clams Casino. The track comes alongside a new music video, conceived by Lana and directed by Yoann Lemoine, which has amassed more than 13 million views on YouTube in just over a month.
