V Festival 2012 - Tickets On Sale Friday 2nd March

Tickets for one of England’s most popular annual music festivals, V Festival, have been announced to go on sale on Friday March 2nd – so just who is going to be playing?

No-line up has been confirmed as of yet, but last year’s festival saw Arctic Monkeys and Eminem headlining the mainstage, with acts like Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Lost Prophets and the Manic Street Preachers also performing. So we’re going to look at who could be making a performance at the festival, and who’s rumoured to be billed!

One of the most speculated about bookings is of the Stone Roses, whose recent reformation has seen them line-up gigs all over the country. They’ve got a tour booked and a lot of festival performances in their schedule, and some news sites even reported as early as November last year that the band would be playing.

One source told The Sun: “The Roses' upcoming tour has been put together by SJM, the same tour promoters who have looked after Take That, Oasis, and Coldplay for their massive shows. Every year V Festival pulls in some huge acts. Eminem and Rihanna, who played this year, will be tough acts to follow, but the Roses are a massive draw.”

Radiohead will be touring in the summer too, and they’re another band strongly rumoured to perform at the festival – especially as Glastonbury, where they made a surprise performance last summer, will be taking a break in 2012. Another band who could be making an appearance is alternative rockers Snow Patrol, who’ve recently released their sixth studio album ‘Fallen Empires’. They’ll also be touring next year, meaning an appearance at V Festival wouldn’t be unlikely at all.

Of course, no line-up has been announced as of yet, so this is all just speculation. Make sure you check out Stereoboard for future V Festival announcements – you can even use our site to compare festival ticket prices, meaning you’ll find the cheapest possible ticket.
