The Brute Chorus Announce New Single ‘My Testament’

London quartet The Brute Chorus have announced the release of their new single ‘My Testament’ – due out on 12th March – to coincide with their performance at this year’s SXSW festival in Austin, Texas, the band’s first visit to the US.

The Brute Chorus will be doing a pre-SXSW party at Studio Private at The Old Shoreditch Station in London on Saturday 25th February. They will also be performing at Birmingham’s The Other Room on Saturday 21st April – see below for tickets.

To help raise funds for their upcoming US tour, the band launched an IndieGoGo campaign, in which they asked fans to offer small contributions in exchange for gifts such as autographed records, limited-edition Brute SXSW T-shirts and the chance for them to perform at your party. Guitarist/keyboardist Nick Foots said: “The chance to play SXSW and America is an amazing opportunity for any band and we're totally blown away to have been invited to play at this year's festival. We've always felt an affinity with American music and this trip to Austin, Texas gives us our first chance to play in the US and we'd love to make the most of it - by covering as much of the US as we can before our visas expire. Although getting the four of us there will not be a cheap enterprise, we've already committed to making it happen and begged, borrowed and bankrupted ourselves. This is where you can help with any donations to help us show the world what we can do.”
