Two Door Cinema Club Praise Lady Gaga For Giving Indie Bands 'Exposure'

Following the remix they revealed this yesterday, Two Door Cinema Club have praised eccentric pop superstar Lady Gaga for giving ‘exposure’ to indie bands like themselves.

The band were asked by Gaga to record a reworking of her track ‘Electric Chapel’, which featured on a remix album. Posting the track yesterday, the band insisted that they ‘couldn’t turn down’ such an ‘incredible opportunity’ – and have today heaped the compliments on Gaga, claiming she has done wonders for launching lesser known indie bands into the limelight.

“It was a really nice thing to see that she was getting a lot of indie artists to remix her stuff,” Alex Trimble told NME. “I thought if she was doing a remix album she'd have people like David Guetta or Tiesto, so it's nice that she's taking lesser known acts and independent artists, and is giving them exposure.”

He was then asked by the magazine/website if he was surprised that Gaga was listened to TDCC, to which he replied: “Yeah, I do think it's odd. At the end of the day she's just another human being, but she's name that almost everyone over the world knows. She's such a huge phenomenon, so it's strange to think that somebody like that would be listening to a band like us.”
