V Festival Line-Up Announcement Set For February 26th

V Festival organisers have announced that the 2012 line-up for the two-day event will be revealed on Sunday 26th February at 9pm.

Last year’s festival saw Arctic Monkeys and Eminem headlining the mainstage, with acts like Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Lost Prophets and the Manic Street Preachers also performing. No official names for the two-day bash have been revealed as of yet, however, some of the acts hotly-tipped to perform this year are listed below.

One of the most speculated are the Stone Roses whose recent reformation has seen them line-up gigs all over the country. They’ve got a tour booked and a lot of festival performances in their schedule and some reports emerged as early as November 2011 claiming that the Madchester legends would be making an appearance.

One source told The Sun: “The Roses' upcoming tour has been put together by SJM, the same tour promoters who have looked after Take That, Oasis, and Coldplay for their massive shows. Every year V Festival pulls in some huge acts. Eminem and Rihanna, who played this year, will be tough acts to follow, but the Roses are a massive draw.”

Radiohead will be touring in the summer too, and they’re another band strongly rumoured to perform at the festival – especially as Glastonbury, where they made a surprise performance last summer, will be taking a break in 2012. Another band who could be making an appearance is alternative rockers Snow Patrol, who’ve recently released their sixth studio album ‘Fallen Empires’. They’ll also be touring next year, meaning an appearance at V Festival wouldn’t be unlikely at all.

Finally, it's been rumoured that Lady Gaga, Florence and the Machine, and Coldplay could all get their own slots at the event too - so make sure you watch out for the announcement.

Of course, this is all just speculation – and you’ll have to wait until Sunday 26th February to find out who will definitely be performing at the festival. V Festival Tickets are on sale on 2nd March – check with Stereoboard in the coming couple of weeks for all your V Festival news.
