Green Day To 'Sing About F*cking' For First Time Ever

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has revealed some secrets about their forthcoming new studio album – confessing that for the first time in their 25 year-long career, they’ll be singing about sex.
The group posted a video to their official YouTube page a couple of days ago, teasing their currently-untitled ninth studio album which they began working on a month ago. Admitting that their new record would be ‘voyeuristic’ (god knows why they decided to wait until they were 40 to ‘sing about fucking’), Green Day were excited to complete the album, with bassist Mike Dirnt promising fans that the new material would ‘blow their fucking minds’.
In the video, which you can watch below, Armstrong says: “Y’know, I think this is so personal, and it’s so voyeuristic – and it is - I think this is the first time we’ve ever really sung about fucking.” Dirnt added “It’s daunting, [the fans] are gonna get like an ugh, and they’re gonna sit there and hold the record and look at it like a piece of art. I mean, the songs are gonna blow their fucking minds.”
