Pete Doherty To Try His Hand At Rap?

He’s got the behaviour right, now he just needs to sort out his music and his image – because Pete Doherty wants to become the worlds’ next biggest hip-hop star.

The controversy-plagued indie rock star has told The Sun that he fancies a change, and wants to become the next big rapper – like Britain’s answer to Eminem. And, to help him on his endeavours, he’s enlisted Mike Skinner from The Streets.

According to The Sun, Doherty “has actually said he wants to be Britain's answer to Eminem. He has told us he's started writing hip hop songs.” The paper also claims that Doherty even bought two addidas track suits to help fit the role – though I can’t remember the last time I saw Kanye or Jay-Z rocking trackies.

Doherty also recently revealed that he had managed to ‘stop injecting’ drugs and was ‘toning down’ his behaviour, after he became a father for the second time earlier this year. Whether he still smokes/snorts/inhales/drinks is another question...
