Matt Cardle Wants To Release Second Album Soon

X-Factor winner Matt Cardle has confessed that he can’t wait to get his next album out – despite only releasing ‘Letters’ back in October last year.

The star, who’s debut ‘Letters’ is now classified as platinum after selling over 300,000 copies since its release, also added that he writes all the time – but won’t be putting out the next LP until it is absolutely perfect.

“I'm writing all the time,” Cardle told The Daily Star. “I'd like it out ASAP but like Letters, it has to be right and I'm not going to be rushed. There are well-known artists out there who have had two or three Top 10 singles and barely sold any albums.

“Perception-wise, people are like, 'Oh they've had three hits, they must be creaming it', but it's absolutely the opposite. You can't live off singles but what you can do is keep an album bobbing away.”

Cardle is touring the UK at the moment and will make his next stop in Dublin’s Olympia tonight. If you need tickets to any of his remaining shows, checking the dates and details below.
