Pitbull Asks Courts To Throw-Out Lindsay Lohan 'Give Me Everything' Lawsuit

American rapper and songwriter Pitbull has asked US law courts to throw out a lawsuit upheld against him by Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan – describing the star’s case as ‘absurd’.

Lohan is extremely unhappy that Pitbull referenced her time in jail in his track ‘Give Me Everything’, which came out last year. The track features the line “So, I'm toptoein', to keep flowin', I got it locked up, like Lindsay Lohan,” which has apparently hurt Lohan so much that she’s trying to take Pitbull to court – with the star saying that it was ‘an alleged infringement of her publicity rights.’

Responding to the claims, Pitbill told the courts: “Sustaining Ms Lohan's allegations would lead to absurd results: the use of a celebrity's name in any work of art - such as a song, poem or painting - would trigger liability. Indeed, if Ms. Lohan is allowed to proceed with her claim, every recording artist could be gagged and prevented from expressing his or her thoughts in songs, including the other recording artists who have referred to Ms. Lohan in their songs but whom she has not sued.”

He goes on to make reference to the First Amendment, which promotes freedom of speech, as well as referencing tracks by major artists like Eminem, who mentions other musicians and celebrities in his tracks regularly.
