Sir Tom Jones Would Rather 'Fall Down Dead On Stage' Than Retire From Music

Living legend Sir Tom Jones has claimed that it would be 'easiest' for him to die live on stage – because he never wants to retire from the music industry.

The superstar singer has performed across the globe in his 71 years, and boasts one of the most successful careers in music today – and he won't ever be slowing down. Speaking to the Daily Star, Jones admitted that he hates the idea of not being able to sing any more – so he'll carry on singing forever!

“I hope my life comes to a natural full stop so maybe it'd be easiest if I fell down dead on stage,” he told the tabloid paper. “I hate the thought of not being able to sing - I've no idea how I'd fill my time. It'd be terrible if I had to sit around listening to other people's records, thinking, 'I can't do that any more'.”

He continued: “It could happen that I'll just get too tired to tour any more and it'll be time for a long sit-down. But having it forced on me, sat at home with regrets? Fuck that.”

Even if he is ever forced to stop touring and recording, he could live on his legacy via his position in The Voice, where he is currently coaching hopefuls from across the UK. But, until then, we can continue enjoying Jones unique voice – he'll be putting out new record 'Spirit in the Room' on May 21st. He also has a number of UK dates coming up, so make sure you don't miss out.
