Futures Announce Self-Release Of Debut Album 'The Karma Album'

Bucks based guitar heroes Futures are set to release their full debut album, 'The Karma Album', on 17th June, produced by Gil Norton. Choosing to exit Mercury Records in April 2012 in favor of creating their own Label, Indigo, the band are now back in the driving seat for the release of their highly anticipated full-length. It features a total of 12 tracks, taking the listener to and from different ends of the spectrum, from huge, hard hitting tracks such as 'Karma Satellite' and 'Islands In The Sea' to the melodic passions of 'Million Lights'.

The band signed to Mercury in June 2010 and spent that year completing the writing of the record, to then head into the studio with Mr. Gil Norton the following April.

The band are no strangers to self-releasing with an air of success, releasing 25,000 copies of their debut Mini Album on the front of Rock Sound Magazine. When questioned about their decision to leave the label, Ant tells fans, “There are no hard feelings with anyone from the label. We were all aware there was just a lot more excitement around us when we were unsigned, and doing everything our preferred way: DIY. We recorded thealbum 1 year ago and it is yet to surface. It was clear that we needed to take the matter into our own hands, so we started Indigo Recordings and now the band is thriving more than ever.”

“If you want to have longevity and to get somewhere as a band, you’ve got to have the songs and the drive to take those songs somewhere.”
