Paris Hilton To Embark On Debut DJ Tour

Hilton hotel heiress Paris Hilton has caused widespread facepalming and disappointment across the underground music scene today – as she announced her first ever solo DJ tour.

The full-time party animal has ditched her day-job (!) and followed the path of current boyfriend Afrojack into the house music scene, and is now kicking off her DJing career following work on her new album..

Apparently, the star can often be seen 'pon the turntables at private parties and occasions with friends, but will now be getting behind the Pioneer 1000s and DJM-600 for a summer DJ tour – which will kick off with an hour-long set at the Pop Music Festival in Sao Paolo, Brazil, on June 23rd.

The tour may have even been arranged to coincide with the release of her forthcoming album, which currently has no scheduled release date, and may see her playing out her latest track 'Drunk Text' – which was reviewed so poorly that Hilton removed it from YouTube.

But, despite the negative reviews of the track, she's still excited to put out the album, and said of it recently: “I've been working on the album with lots of other top DJs for a while now and I think people will be really surprised. It's very modern and very catchy; perfect party music. It’s completely different from my last album. I’m going with a whole new genre. I have Afrojack executive-producing the entire album. So we’ve just been coming up with the most incredible tracks.”

Stay with Stereoboard to find out more on the album – and whether Hilton will be hitting up a club near you any time soon.
