World-beating pop singers One Direction have promised that they won't leave fellow boyband The Wanted behind on their rise to stardom and even offered them a slot as support act on their up and coming US tour!
The two groups are good friends and have both seen their careers take off both at home and in the US though One Direction's rise has seen them go a little bit further than their British-Irish counterparts. But, speaking to the Daily Mirror, 1D hope that The Wanted will remain friends with them, and come with them on their US tour and even offered the group the chance to warm up the crowds for them.
We are hoping that they'll still get on with us, because, you know, there is potentially a spot on our arena tour for them to support us, One Direction's Louis Tomlinson joked. I was going to say something rude then. Or something sexual. But that's something The Wanted would say.
It is the latest in a long spout of banter between the pair of boybands, who have recently hinted that their could be a collaboration between the two. Responding to The Wanted's Nathan Syke's offer of doing a song together, 1D's Niall Horan said: It would be just like Blazin' Squad! See you at the crossroads, crossroads, crossroads! That was a tune. It would be funny to see that, but we'll see what happens.
