Bombay Bicycle Club Unveil Tom Moulton's Remix Of 'Beg' - Listen Now

Ahead of the release of their new single 'Beg' next Monday, Bombay Bicycle Club have unveiled an exclusive remix of the track courtesy of legendary American record producer - and the man generally regarded as popularising the 12" single - Tom Moulton.

Superstar Tom Moulton has produced records for Grace Jones & The Three Degrees, and was also responsible for the first ever continuous-mix album side on Gloria Gaynor's album, 'Never Can Say Goodbye'. He has long nurtured a reputation as the 'King of Disco'.

Speaking of the opportunity to work with Tom Moulton, Bombay Bicycle Club's Jack Steadman said: "I was listening to a lot of disco, especially the work of Larry Levan who was doing his own edits of these tracks. I felt that 'Beg' was a nod to this era and to get one of these guys to do an edit would be perfect. That's when I found out Tom Moulton was still around, still making music, and so we asked him. It was a dream come true for him to say yes."

The release of the original version of ‘Beg’ as a single is unique in that the song wasn’t actually featured on the original physical version of BBC's recent album 'A Different Kind of Fix' but as a bonus track on the digital album release. The band recently added the song to their live set and had an amazing response from fans, so decided to release it as their final single from this campaign.

2012 has already been a whirlwind year for the North London quartet who on top of selling out one of the biggest venues in London (Alexandra Palace, 10,000 fans) have also been nominated for three NME awards. 'A Different Kind of Fix' is Bombay Bicycle Club's third album and their third to go Gold in the UK.
