Taffy Announce UK Tour & Unveil New Single 'Flower Chain'

Tokyo-based outfit taffy have announced an October and November UK tour today, as well as unveiling their latest single ‘Flower Chain’.

The band, consisting of front-woman Iris, bass-player Koichin, guitarist Asano, and drummer Ken, released their debut album ‘Caramel Sunset’ earlier this year in May, and are striving to make a name for themselves here in Britain - where they adore the Britpop genre.

Now, they’ve set a September 3rd release date for ‘Flower Chain’ - which you can hear below - and have announced that there’ll be a UK tour later on in the year, too, as they continue their frenzied attack on British ears in 2012.

The new release has received a lot of critical acclaim, with The Fly commenting: “Classic British indie pop from Japan? Yes! Coxon-esque guitar lines meet sugary female harmonies in a sunshine-fuelled cocktail of joy.”

The tour kicks off on October 24th in London’s Brixton Windmill, and will take them to venues in Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow, Leeds, Lancaster, Chester, Nottingham - and London again. Check the dates below for the full details.
