Sigur Ros Announce 2013 UK Tour Dates & Tickets

Icelandic post-rock outfit Sigur Ros have announced a duo of dates in London’s O2 Academy Brixton as part of their 2013 UK tour, following the release of their sixth studio album ‘Valtari’.
The alternative band have established themselves as a leading figure in the post-rock and alternative scenes, and have become well-known for their unique, minimalistic sound, assisted by their frontman Jónsi Birgisson’s incredible skills with a guitar and a cello bow.
The four-piece have now announced some highly-anticipated UK live dates, which see them performing two shows at London’s O2 Brixton Academy on March 7th and 8th 2013, along with regional shows in Glasgow, Manchester & Wolverhampton. Tickets for the gigs go onsale this Friday (September 14th) at 9am, and will cost you £30.00 + fees - you can find yours through Stereoboard using the links provided below.
The band made their album debut in 1997 with ‘Von’, offering to paint the studio in which they recorded it as means of payment. Years of honing their sound has left them with an extremely atmospheric and totally unique sound that has built them a large global fanbase. Their latest record ‘Valtari’ managed to hit #8 and #7 in the UK and US charts respectively, highlighting their international popularity.
