Midge Ure has announced a new album.
The Ivor Novello winner and '80s icon, well known for being the frontman of electronic pop group Ultravox, will release 'A Man Of Two Worlds' on May 8. Introducing it on social media, he said:
"My first album of new material in 12 years. Partly inspired by my lockdown exploration of instrumental music, it’s divided into two distinct halves.
"World One: Music, features eight instrumental pieces.
World Two: Songs, consists of eight brand new vocal tracks."
As a preview, he's shared the record's first single, Just Words, taken from the World Two half of the album. Check it out below, alongside the tracklist and artwork.
As well as the record, Ure has announced that he's extending his A Man Of Two Worlds Tour with a new round of UK dates in November, following up his previously confirmed UK shows throughout May and running into early June, and a tour of Australia and New Zealand in October.
The new leg will see him call in York, Derby, Hull, Brighton, Cardiff, Watford, Coventry and Guildford between November 20 and 30. Tickets go on general sale at 9.30am this Friday (March 13).
