Yesterday, Cody Simpson gave a private acoustic performance for a small group of fans from the Microsoft store in Seattle. The special performance was in celebration of the launch of the "Bing It On Challenge", a campaign that’s encouraging people to take the blind search on BingItOn.com to see if they prefer Bing or Google.
Simpson greeted the crowd of excited fans by arriving in an island-themed Bing bus alongside his family including sister Alli Simpson. During the event, which was live-streamed via Skype to four other Microsoft stores across the country, the pop star performed three songs including a new song from his highly-anticipated new album 'Paradise', which will be released on October 2nd. He also chatted with fans through a live Q&A on Twitter, answering questions like whether he’d prefer to have his hair styled straight or poofy (he chose poofy).
After taking the "Bing It On" challenge several times (searching key words: “Cody Simpson,” “whole grain Goldfish,” “Gold Coast Australia,” and “Pullyallup Fair”), Simpson learned he was a proven Bing fan, as he selected Bing four out of the five blind searches.
Cody Simpson has announced details of a November UK tour, supporting the forthcoming release of new album 'Paradise'.
