British pop sisters The Nolans are reuniting for a final farewell tour. The Nolans Tickets are on sale from 9am on Friday 28th September.
Having started their careers in 1974, the five-piece consisting of Anne, Denise, Maureen, Linda and Bernie, with younger sibling Coleen joining in 1980, has undergone several line-up changes before eventually disbanding in 2005. They reunited in 2009 for a run of shows celebrating the 30th anniversary of their huge 1979 hit 'I'm In The Mood For Dancing'.
Reuniting for a final tour, The Nolans have revealed they were inspired to hit the stage again after Bernie was diagnosed with cancer in 2010.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Coleen says: "When someone you love goes through that all your priorities change and it makes you feel, 'Life's too short'. The 2009 tour was so brilliant we hoped we could do it again. But this made us go, 'S** it - let's just do it.' We couldn't miss our last chance to sing together again.
"I can't put into words how excited we are about our farewell tour. But every night will be tinged with sadness knowing we're getting nearer the end... the very last time we'll perform. Just thinking about it now I get choked up with emotion and I know all the girls feel the same."
Linda, who was also hit by breast cancer in 2006, added: "After Bernie's cancer battle, our bereavements and individual problems, that unity and strength feels even more powerful.
"There are hundreds of women out there just like us and they come to see us because we know, like they do, that life goes on."
