South Korean pop singer-songwriter Psy - who’s exploded into the public eye this summer with his track ‘Gangnam Style’ - has confessed that he’d love to collaborate with Simon Cowell’s superstars One Direction.
Speaking to The Daily Mirror, Psy opened up about his British influences, and told the paper how Queen and their iconic frontman Freddie Mercuary first gave him inspiration to get into music. He also added that he thought One Direction were ‘cool’ - saying that he’d love to collaborate with the quintet.
“My role model and dream of being a musician was inspired by Queen and Freddie Mercury,” Psy revealed. “I remember them playing at Wembley. Freddie is a great hero of mine. I'd like to teach Brian May the Gangnam Style dance.”
He added: “I'd love to work with [One Direction]. They're huge and cool.”
He then went on to talk about how he loves to drink before getting into a collaboration, something which could spark a healthy relationship with the 1D lads - but definitely not clean cut star Justin Bieber!
“If I meet someone and have to work, I have to drink a lot. I'm really good at drinking, especially strong ones. But Justin's not allowed to as he's not old enough!”
