The Black Keys 'Definitely' Putting Out New Album In 2013

American rock duo The Black Keys have confirmed that they will be putting out a new record in 2013, after releasing what is their seventh studio album in December last year.
‘El Camino’ hit #2 and #6 in the US and UK Albums charts respectively, and paved the way for another successful year of touring and performing across the globe. But, despite still having dozens of dates scheduled for the rest of the year (they’re currently in the US, will be travelling to Australia and Europe, and hit the UK in December), the band will ‘definitely’ be putting out their eighth album next year.
Speaking to CBS Local, drummer Patrick Carney said: “[An album] is definitely gonna happen in 2013. It’s just a matter of how long it takes us to make the album and deciding when we want to get back on the road.
“We’re going to start making a new album in January and we’re going to tour a little more in the spring. Our plan is the have the new album done by the end of spring or earlier, then hopefully take a few months off to do normal things like go to bed early and wake up early, walk the dog, that kind of stuff. Then we’ll probably be back on the road starting next fall.”
