My Extraordinary Unveil New Single/Video 'The World We Live In' - Listen Now

Newcastle alt-rockers My Extraordinary have unveiled their brand new single/video ‘The World We Live In’, ahead of their brand new EP which is set for release early on in 2013.
The video was directed by Daniel Broadley, who has worked with Deaf Havana and Don Bronco and has directed their previous videos for ‘The Hero That Walked Away’ and ‘Why Save The World’ - you can check it below.
Singer Anthony Thompson comments: “I got some proper stick from a family member for being in a band and he said I had my head in the clouds for doing what I do. He’s very money driven and he thought that all I should do with my life is work towards having an enormous bank balance when I believe people should do what makes them happy.
“It got me thinking how young people, like ourselves, are pressured into taking the conventional route of school, university, job, relationship, owning a home then having kids. That's all good, but if you want something else, don't let some schmuck put you down. 'The World We Live In' is just a snippet of what's to come on the new EP but it's simply a natural progression of a sound we've been trying to harvest from the start. Expect a slab of beef and BBQ sauce. As a band we’ve grown some balls!”
The band also kick off their UK tour later this month, starting with a gig in Edinburgh’s Third Door on the 23rd of November. You can check out the full dates and details - as well as their brand new track and video - below.
