Welsh rockers Manic Street Preachers have confirmed their plans for a brand new studio album, following the 20th anniversary of their seminal ‘Generation Terrorists’ album.
The band, who’ve been going strong since as far back as 1986, have already begun work on their 11th studio album according to frontman James Dean Bradfield - and he’s claimed that it will be much better than their 2004 album ‘Lifeblood’ which, although loved by many fans, Bradfield is not a fan of.
Speaking to Band Showbiz, Bradfield revealed: “I'm trying to find a good word for the next record. I'm not going to say esoteric because no-one wants to hear that word, it's not even eclectic. But it's not the mess up of [2004 album] 'Lifeblood', which was disconnected and didn't have much life blood. Actually, it was quite blood-less! I think we've done something much better this time.”
The news will come as a real treat to fans - who were recently given a brand new, remastered deluxe edition of ’Generation Terrorists’ - but you’ll have to wait until 2014 for any new material.
