Jimmy Page: 'It's Very Unlikely That Led Zeppelin Will Perform Together Again'

Godlike guitarist Jimmy Page has stated that it is ‘very unlikely’ that Led Zeppelin will have any Rolling Stones-esque reunion shows, adding that they probably won’t ever play together again.
The legendary rockers release their brand new DVD ‘Celebration Day’, a concert video of their 2007 reunion performance in London, later this month on November 19th - but when asked by Jools Holland whether there’d be any more reunion gigs, Page gave an answer that no self-respecting rocker wanted to hear.
Speaking on Later... with Jools Holland, Page said: “We're almost five years after the O2 concert and I must say I thought there might be some other get together for some reason or another but, as the years ticked by, it doesn't look very likely does it? But [at least this gig] is there.”
The band have previously spoken about their 2007 performance, telling NME that it took them two years to even watch back footage of the gig.
“It was important that if we were going to do [a reunion] at all, that we went out there and did it properly. We put a lot of time and effort into it so that it would be what you're going to see now, which is just one show – that's all we did, no warm-up gigs, no follow-up. It wasn't designed to be a film at all. That's why it's taken a little while to come out, because we didn't even look at it for two years after we'd done it, so we could be a bit more objective about it.”
What do you think of the news - are you disappointed, or happy that they won’t be milking their legacy dry? Let us know in the comment section below.
