Hertfordshire is famous for kicking out its talent and this time it comes in the form of indie pop rockers My Little Empire. Formed in 2010 this four piece have played shows with the likes of Don Broco, Spycatcher and Bastille to name a few. The band have packed out local venues in and around London, including the Barfly in Camden, Monto Water Rats in Kings Cross and most recently Islington’s 02 Academy 2, which they sold out.
The bands most recent radio acclaim consists of numerous plays on the BBC Introducing show as well as regular plays on various other local radio stations. The music they produce boasts catchy hooks; mature song writing and an insatiable beat that sends their listeners into a dancing frenzy.
The wonderful Thomas Mitchener, who plays in the bands Spycatcher and Pure Love, has produced their new single ‘Solitude’. Thomas produced the incredible new Gallows album and happily puts the My Little Empires new single comfortably in his back pocket. The band has big plans for 2013, with the single ‘Solitude’ being just the beginning. The band are self-releasing the single, which is due for release on the 14th January.
