Dog Is Dead have announced that they’ll be supporting Two Door Cinema Club on their European tour this February and March! The 17-date tour kicks off in Switzerland and will see the band play in Italy, Austria, Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Holland, Germany, France and Belgium.
Whilst this is amazing news for the Nottingham quintet, it does mean that the band have had to reschedule their UK headline tour, which was set to take place in February and March. The rescheduled UK dates will now take place throughout April 2013 and will include two extra dates in Coventry and Glasgow. Furthermore, the band’s new single ‘Do The Right Thing’ will be released this Spring.
Commenting on the announcement, the band say: “We have just been asked to support Two Door Cinema Club across Europe in February and March! This is obviously massive news for us, these are the biggest shows we will have played before and we have been fans of them for a long time. Unfortunately, this clashes with our own UK and European shows so we have had to move these back a few weeks. We haven't taken this decision lightly and we're really sorry if this causes you guys any inconvenience. All tickets are still valid for the new dates. 2012 was an incredible year for Dog Is Dead, having released their debut album 'All Our Favourite Stories', selling out shows across the UK, playing 25 festivals in the UK alone and gaining massive support from the likes of Radio 1 (the band’s last single ‘Teenage Daughter’ amassed many spins on Radio 1’s B List).
