Following her autumn 2012 UK tour, BRIT Award-winning, Mercury Prize-nominated British singer-songwriter, Beth Orton has announced details of a brand new UK trek for April.
Blending slow, dreamy songs with trip-hop breaks, folky guitar and haunting vocals, Beth Orton effortlessly brings a Neil Young, Joni Mitchell 70s folk vibe through to the present day.
Beth will be touring in support of latest record 'Sugaring Season', her first new work for six years. Released in October last year, 'Sugaring Season' began in a 'cow barn' at the end of a country lane in Norfolk in the summer of 2007. Orton, having split from her label and raising a young daughter on her own, packed up her London life and returned to her roots. "I was on my own, challenged like I had never been, with few resources," explains Orton.
