Lil Wayne Facing Lawsuit Following Crew Member Skateboard Assault Incident

American rapper Lil Wayne is facing a lawsuit from a fan who claims one of his crew-members assaulted him with a skateboard.

Alfredo Marino claims he saw the superstar walking the streets in LA back in May last year, and tried to take a photo as he’s a big fan of him.

But, instead of getting a photo, he apparently got the trucks of a skateboard to the back of his head, after a protective member of his crew made sure no-one got too close to the star.

As you may or may not know, skateboards and their trucks are pretty tough, and it would definitely cause a lot of pain to get hit in the head with one - which is why it’s unsurprising that Marino is now suing Wayne, claiming that he was left with a ‘severe injury’ to his head.

It’s unknown how much he’s asking for, but he’s apparently blaming Wayne’s label and Wayne himself for ‘enabling’ the attacker.

At the time, Marino’s lawyer told TMZ: “My client will enforce all of his rights under the law and all individuals responsible for this outrageous incident will be blamed for the damages that my client has suffered and continues to suffer.”

Last year, we posted a story about Lil Wayne’s plans to quit rap - and it turned out that thousands of our readers seemed to be eager for the 30 year-old to quit music. Would you still like to see him retire? Let us know in the comment section below.
