The Who's Pete Townshend Sends Special Video Message To Irish Fans Ahead Of 'Quadrophenia' Tour

Ahead of The Who’s highly anticipated arena shows in Dublin and Belfast this summer, Pete Townshend has sent a message especially to Irish fans.
In this message, recorded on The Who’s current tour of the US, Pete says that Ireland is “...one of the most important countries in the world to him...” He continues to reminisce about the bands first shows in Ireland in the early days in Belfast, Cork – where Pete’s grandfather was born and Dublin but more recently played at the Oxegen festival which "...was a really really great gig to do”.
Finally Pete reveals that a new music piece he is working on is partly set in Waterford but not before he states he “can’t wait to get back… I love the people, love the history, love the music, love everything about it...”
The Who will perform their iconic 1973 double album 'Quadrophenia' in its entirety along with a selection of Who classics at two Irish concerts this summer.
