Drummer Jason Bonham Reacts To Robert Plant's Led Zeppelin Reunion Tease

Led Zeppelin drummer, Jason Bonham, son of the band's legendary late beatsmith John, has revealed he is among those bemused by vocalist Robert Plant's recent reunion tease.

ImageRobert Plant's recent comments regarding another Led Zep reunion has sparked much speculation amongst fans, as the singer revealed to Australian TV that the decision to reunite again would lie with guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones. The singer also teased that "I've got nothing to do in 2014."

In reaction to Plant's comments, drummer Bonham has posted on his Facebook page: “I just watched Robert’s interview, where he says he’s free in 2014. Not sure how to read it – what do you think?”

Robert Plant has been occupying himself making music with Alison Krauss and more recently his new band, Band of Joy. Plant's new comments have now led fans to believe the singer has changed his stance on reforming Led Zeppelin, after he quashed rumours back in 2008 of anything permanent happening.

Bonham revealed back in 2010, following their 2007 reunion concert at London's O2 Arena, that Zeppelin got "real close" to touring without Plant. "We did a year of writing and putting stuff together." Apparently Steven Tyler and Myles Kennedy were among those who auditioned to become the band's new vocalist.

What do you think of Robert Plant's recent comments? Could another Led Zeppelin reunion show be in the pipeline, or do you just not see it happening? Give us your shout in the comments box below.
