My Chemical Romance Fans Start Petition For Farewell Tour

Heart-broken My Chemical Romance fans (emotional emos?) have started a petition to get the band to embark on a farewell tour, following the band’s split over the weekend.
The New Jersey band announced their decision to split via a post on frontman Gerard Way’s Twitter, where he thanked fans for their constant support - and claimed that My Chemical romance could ‘never die’. Despite the lengthy message, fans feel the group parted ways rather abruptly, and are demanding that they get back together for one final farewell tour.
The petition - which can be found on website Change here - has already almost hit the 10,000 signatures it was looking for, and is accompanied by this message: “They ended so abruptly without saying goodbye to their fans properly, and the MCRmy is upset. They need to do it correctly if they're going to do it at all.”
As you may have expected, the page is filled with some heartfelt, inspiring messages - and some puke-inducingly cringey ones too.
One fan wrote: “My Chemical Romance just saved my fucking life. They told me that I can not stop running and I can't believe, that this is the end. I want to go to the last concert because I dream of told them a little ‘Thank you’.”
Another said: “My chemical romance is like my whole life. They helped me through rough times. I really can't live without them. They taught us how to be strong . We have to be strong without them. It's hard we just need one last goodbye .. Please . I love you Gerard way <3”
