Lady Gaga Rejected $1,000,000 Offer To Play Republican National Convention Last Year

Eccentric pop superstar Lady Gaga turned down a $1,000,000 offer to perform at a Republican National Convention last year, it has been revealed.

Known for her liberal stance, it’s no surprise Gaga turned down the deal - and she wasn’t the only performer who rejected the opportunity, though her offer was the most lucrative. Pitbull and Dolly Parton also said no the Republicans.

Fortunately for the American conservatives, they managed to get Journey, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Kid Rock to perform, though it’s unknown how much money was thrown their way in return.

According to the Washington Examiner, Gaga’s rejection was revealed after Republican fundraising company American Action filed a lawsuit against the event’s organisers Cater America LLC.

Washington Examiner also claims that the organisers told Gaga that $150,000 would be ’donated to domestic violence shelter’ in an attempt to sweeten the deal, as well as telling her the concert was ‘honouring women who run for public office’.
