American superstar Katy Perry has opened up about her latest single Roar - revealing that it was inspired by her recent therapy.
Roar is the lead single from Perry's new studio album, 'Prism', which is set for release on October 22. Now, she's let slip the story behind the track and it has a more deep and personal meaning than many may expect.
"I wrote it because I was sick of keeping all these feelings inside and not speaking up for myself, which caused a lot of resentment. Obviously I've been through a lot of therapy since my last record and that's what this is about."
Based on Perry's track history, Roar should see her return to the upper reaches of the singles chart. But what do you think of the track? Check out the lyric video below and let us know what you think in the comment in the box underneath!
