Hotly-Tipped The Graveltones Announce Release Of Debut Album

Fresh off the back of landing a nomination for Best New Band of 2013 in this year’s Classic Rock Awards, London’s hotly-tipped, blues-soaked, garage rock ‘n’ rollers the Graveltones have announced their highly anticipated debut album 'Don't Wait Down' which is set for release on October 21 through the band's own independent label Lagoon Dog Records.
The album will be preceded by Catch Me On The Fly, the first single to be taken from the album, which is due for digital release on August 26.
With their lyrics being compared to Bob Dylan, riffs to Rage Against The Machine, vocals to Howling Wolf and beats to John Bonham, it's easy to see why the dynamic duo have been stirring up such a frenzy on the London scene amongst music press and fans alike. Having amassed a dedicated following, the Graveltones’ Jimmy O (vocals/guitar) and Mikey Sorbello (drums) smashed their way through their crowd-sourced album campaign with Pledge Music in record time.
The resulting debut album features 10 tracks recorded at Monnow Valley and Miloco Studios and produced by the Graveltones along with the renowned producer Charlie Francis (who has previously assisted REM, The Noisettes, Future Of The Left).

The release of 'Don't Wait Down' comes at the end of what has already been a hugely successful year for the Graveltones, having released their eponymous debut EP to rave reviews. The band have played an impressive 350 shows across the UK, Europe and Australia, including a full UK tour with American rockers Rival Sons and a performance at this year's Download Festival.
The band are set to play a top secret exclusive launch gig in London on September 17 for Pledgers and industry, with a limited number of tickets being made available for the public to win. See the band’s Facebook page for details.
