The Seekers have announced that their September UK tour – to celebrate their Golden Jubilee – has been postponed due to the ongoing rehabilitation of lead singer Judith Durham, following the cerebral haemorrhage she suffered during the band's Australian tour in May this year.
Durham was discharged from hospital in August after three months of treatment, but continues to undergo rehabilitation as an outpatient.
Doctors have given her the ‘green light’ to return to the concert stage once her rehabilitation is complete, and the group have since confirmed a new run of dates commencing April 28 in Cardiff, followed by Nottingham, Liverpool, Brighton, Gateshead, Glasgow, Belfast, Bournemouth, Birmingham, and Manchester, culminating at London’s Royal Albert Hall on June 2.
The Seekers – Durham, Athol Guy, Keith Potger and Bruce Woodley – are looking forward to taking their UK fans down memory lane with stories, memorabilia, messages of congratulations and video clips on the big screen.
As the centrepiece of their two‐hour performances, the legendary group who put Australia on the international pop music map, will raise the roof with their chart‐topping hits I’ll Never Find Another You, A World Of Our Own, The Carnival Is Over, Morningtown Ride, Someday One Day, When Will The Good Apples Fall, Walk With Me, Georgy Girl and many crowd favourites.
All existing tickets sold are valid for the rescheduled dates.
