Bloodhound Gang Facing Russian Criminal Case

Wednesday, 11 September 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Bloodhound Gang have found themselves embroiled in a criminal case in Russia, after ‘disgracing’ the country’s flag at a recent gig in Ukraine.

The Bad Touch stars found themselves in trouble with Ukrainian authorities after bassist ‘Evil’ Jared Hasselhoff decided to pee all over their flag live on stage in Kiev, angering politicians and resulting in a hooliganism charge.

Deciding to switch things up, Hasselhoff, at the band’s next show in Odessa, then defaced the Russian flag, rubbing the flag on his private parts and using it to wipe his behind. Believe it or not, Russian officials were fuming.

The band’s next gig, in Anapa, Krasnodar Krai, Russia, was cancelled and the band were ejected from the country. Now, an official statement from Russia's Investigative Committee has claimed that Hasselhoff (real name Jared Hennegan) and frontman Jimmy Pop (James Moyer Frank) ‘entered a criminal plot’ with the incident.

“Moyer, Hennegan and other unknown persons entered a criminal plot aimed at disgracing Russian citizens and formed a criminal group to that end.”

It’s also been claimed that the idea of putting Moyer and Hennegan on a wanted list is ‘under consideration’. What do you think of the news? You can check out a clip below of the incident below - leave us a comment in the box underneath!
