Jason Derulo has claimed that his new album, ‘Tattoos’, will shock his fans.
The 23-year-old is gearing up for the release of his brand new collection, and will be unleashing it to fans on September 23. Ahead of the album hitting shelves, Derulo has confessed that he’s taken a bit of a risk with the new material and fans may be ‘shocked’ and ‘surprised’ at what they hear.
He told BBC Newsbeat:
“I think people are already surprised by the material they are hearing. Talk Dirty is not something I would have put out in the past, it's a totally different side of me. The album will continue to do that and surprise and shock. I just wanted to have something that was a rollercoaster ride, this album is definitely one of those that will take you on a crazy journey.”
He went on to explain that although he thinks his new sound my take fans by surprise, he also revealed that it’s a much more mature album and hopes it’ll turn out be his best so far.
“It's a lot more grown up and it shows all my different dimensions and where I have come from, and it displays who I am as a person. Taking a risk? Yeah, and I think those are the best records, the ones that just step out of the box a little bit and take chances."
His latest track, Talk Dirty, is set for a release on September 15, a week prior to the release of the new album. You can also check out new track Marry Me, which Derulo premiered late last month.
