Chiodos Begin Work New on Album

Wednesday, 11 September 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Michigan post-hardcore outfit Chiodos are in the studio working on a brand new album, it has been confirmed.

The band have enjoyed their time as one of the main acts on this summer’s Vans Warped Tour, but aren’t taking too much time to rest and are now hard at work in the studio on what will be their fourth studio album.

The new album is set to be released next year via a Razor & Tie subsidiary, and though they haven’t yet decided on a title, they have decided that they’ll be enlisting the help of producer Dave Bottrill, who’s worked with the likes of Tool, Stone Sour, and Muse.

Commenting on their new work, frontman Craig Owens has said:

“We're excited to be working with Dave Bottrill on this new Chiodos record. Some of the records he's done have influenced the band and helped us define what we've become. Muse, Tool, and Silverchair are all at the top of our list, and it's amazing to be working with someone that's already been a part of our history, indirectly.

“So for the next two months, we'll be hiding out in the woods of upstate NY, in a hollowed out Church turned studio - creating what is to be the next chapter of this crazy Chiodos journey.”

Keyboard and synth player Bradley Bell is equally excited to be working on new material, claiming that being in the studio is one of his favourite elements of being a musician. Are you excited for a new Chiodos record? Leave us a comment in the box below!
