Wednesday, 18 September 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Albums from rap superstars such as a Eminem, 2pac, Kanye West and others are set to be reissued later this year.

Though Eminem is set to release his brand new album ‘The Marshall Mathers LP2’ later this year, Universal Music is set to re-release his seminal ‘Slim Shady LP’ among other epic hip-hop records as part of their ‘Respect the Classics’ campaign, which launched this week.

Created to ‘spotlight iconic, genre-defining albums’, it’ll see collections from Def Jam, Virgin and Interscope among others put out for younger generations to hear - and older generations to reminisce.

Included in the list is 50 Cent’s ‘Get Rich or Die Tryin’, which will hit shelves as a platinum vinyl edition on November 12 as a celebration of its 10 year anniversary. Also scheduled for November/December are records from the likes of Gangstarr, Slick Rick, and Public Enemy.

There’ll also eventually be re-releases of N*E*R*D's 'In Search Of', Lil Wayne’s ‘Tha Carter’, 2Pac’s ‘Greatest Hits’, and Kanye West’s ‘808s and Heartbreaks’.

Meanwhile, Eminem unveiled his brand new music video for Berzerk - check it out below!
