EDM star Pretty Lights is streaming his album, ‘A Colour Map of the Sun’.
The eclectic producer released his fourth collection in July and after picking up critical acclaim (as well as peaking at #2 on the Billboard 200 Dance charts), he’s decided to give fans the chance to stream it in full for free via his SoundCloud page - check it out here.

“By putting together different groups of musicians on a daily basis, different bands were formed with the purpose of playing styles from funk, soul and jazz, to folk, rock and classical. All the composition and sound design happened on the fly, in the moment, and with the single intention of creating amazing sounding music.
“I searched for vocalists that could take my lyrics and put their own incredible soul and emotion into them. I made beats for some of my favorite rappers in exchange for the ability to chop up the lyrics they wrote. It was a laborious yet immensely gratifying experiment that I could not be more proud of.”
Pretty Lights - real name Derek Smith - performed a number of gigs over here in the UK, including shows at the The Deaf Institute in Manchester and the Electric Ballroom in London, as well as an appearance at Bestival on the Isle of Wight. Though you may have missed your opportunity to catch him live over here, he heads home for a tour kicking off in October.
