London singer songwriter Lily Allen has opened up about her brand new comeback album.
The 28-year old will make a return to music in the very near future and has been busy teasing fans with clues, hints and tweets about her comeback. Now, speaking to Hello!, Allen has revealed what fans can expect on the record - and that includes ‘good choruses’ and ‘feminist vibes’.
She told the magazine:
“It's not an earnest, 'I'm a mum', kind of record. It's empowering. There's some feminist vibes going on. It's the same old me with a bit of swearing going on. Good choruses, key changes here and there - that's it.”
She continued on to talk about motherhood, and how it’ll intertwine with the second chapter in her career.
“It's hard. I'm constantly trying to get the balance right. I always just want to get home to put my little girls to bed. It doesn't always happen but I'm very blessed to be able to do what I do. I need to go on holidays before the next couple of years of work kick in. I need to spend time with my girlies and my husband and get my head down. It's exciting, but I'm still nervous.”
Rumours of Allen’s comeback has been rife for a while, but she recently confirmed any doubts with an emphatic tweet last month - she wrote:
