Glastonbury Boss Close to Confirming Two Headline Acts for 2014

Wednesday, 02 October 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Emily Eavis - the daughter of Michael Eavis and co-organiser of Glastonbury - is ‘close’ to confirming two headline acts for 2014.

Glastonbury returned this year after a short break in 2012 and the festival wowed audiences with a headline bill boasting the Rolling Stones, Arctic Monkeys, and Mumford and Sons.

They’ll have a hard time topping it, but according to Emily, they’ll be unveiling two of their headline names pretty soon. She told NME:

“We are away in Cornwall this week and I've just been talking to an agent on the phone on the beach in the rain about one of our headliners. We're definitely getting close to securing two and there are a few options for the third. It's annoying really as there are lots of great bands touring next year and we'd love to have them all.

“But rest assured, it's going to be one hell of a show - maybe even the best yet!”

As she said, Glastonbury 2014 may be the best year yet, so you’ll want to be grabbing your tickets ASAP! They’re set to go on sale from 9am on October 6 and will cost you £210 - plus £5 booking fee - per ticket. Each person is allocated a maximum of six tickets per transaction, a reduction from last year’s eight, while you can book a ticket by paying a £50 deposit. The other £160 is due in April.

You’ll have to already registered so if you haven’t, you’ll have to miss out for now!
