Michael Jackson's Mother to Appeal AEG Live Decision?

Michael Jackson’s mother Katherine Jackson is reportedly planning to appeal the recent decision which ruled AEG Live not negligent in the hiring of Dr Conrad Murray.
The Jacksons had hoped to win significant damages after bringing the case forward, while AEG argued that they had hired Murray - who was jailed for four years for involuntary manslaughter following Jackson's death - following a request from the star himself.
Last week we reported on the news that the jury had decided that the concert promoters had not been negligent in hiring Dr. Conrad Murray. Today we can reveal that Michael’s mother is likely to appeal the decision and take the case back to the courts.
According to the New York Daily News, the family’s lawyer Brian Panish has commented:
“She isn’t throwing in the towel. She feels that the jurors ended the trial really liking Michael. We can’t give up until we gather all the information. Today is another chapter.”
It follows Katherine’s comments in the wake of the decision last week, who said:
"We, of course, are not happy with the result as it stands now, we will be exploring all options - legally and factually - and make a decision about anything at a later time.”
The family have 30 days to consider an appeal and it looks more than likely that the case will continue to go on for weeks or perhaps months to come. What do you think of the news? Leave us a comment in the box below!
