Kelis Signs To Ninja Tune, Readies New Album 'Food' For April Release

Kelis has signed with Ninja Tune and will release a new record, 'Food', on April 28.
Produced by Dave Sitek, of TV On The Radio, the album is described by her new label as being "a soul record that's as raw and alternative as it is classic". Kelis added:
"This is the album I've wanted to make for a long time and I want the team around me to be as excited and energetic about it as I am. I'm also very happy to be working with some of the most creative people in the industry.”
'Food' will be Kelis's sixth studio outing and the follow-up to 'Flesh Tone', which arrived in 2010.
