Tickets For Carl Froch Vs George Groves Rematch Expected To Sell Out In 20 Minutes

The rematch between super middleweights Carl Froch and George Groves, billed as the biggest fight since the war, is expected to sell out an 80,000 capacity Wembley Stadium within 20 minutes.

The prediction is based on the popularity of the pair’s previous boxing bout, which saw 21,000 tickets sell out in 12 minutes, combined with the amount of searches ticketing site Seatwave is already registering for the highly anticipated Froch vs. Groves rematch. 

Louise Mullock, spokesperson for Seatwave, comments:

“Many were unsatisfied with the result last time, so fans will be hoping for a definitive result and Wembley is a fitting venue for arguably the biggest boxing bout in the last 60 years. However, one thing already decided is that, in terms of ticket demand, boxing is more popular than the national football team – something which I imagine surprises a lot of people.”

The highly anticipated rematch will go ahead at London's Wembley Stadium on May 31.
