Saturday, 12 July 2014 Written by Huw Baines

Tommy Ramone, the last surviving original member of the Ramones, has died aged 65.

A post on the band's Twitter feed confirmed the drummer's death, with Variety reporting that he had been receiving treatment for bile duct cancer.

Tommy played on the Ramones' first three records - their self-titled debut, 'Leave Home' and 'Rocket To Russia' - and their classic live album, 'It's Alive'. He later returned to produce the band during the '80s.
