Washington prog rockers Periphery have released Alpha, a title track of sorts from their album 'Juggernaut: Alpha', which is due for release on January 26.
Discussing the track, guitarist Jake Bowen said:
"I really enjoy songs that have an unconventional arrangement but still flow nicely, and I think that's exactly why I like ‘Alpha’; it starts out more upbeat, then evolves into a darker mood towards the end, illustrating the ‘Juggernaut’ story both musically and lyrically."
The band will be releasing two albums simultaneously, 'Juggernaut: Alpha' and 'Juggernaut: Omega'. You can check out the video below for an insight into the recording process.
Periphery are on tour in Europe throughout March with the Devin Townsend Project, in the lead up to a headline London show.
Periphery Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows:
Wed April 01 2015 - LONDON O2 Academy Islington
